David Corenswet’s Superman & Starfire’s DCU Debuts Revealed In Shocking New Creature Commandos Trailer

James Gunn"s DC Universe has finally started with the release of the first two episodes of Creature Commandos. The TV-MA animated series does a great job of introducing viewers to the franchise, with expansive world-building and Creature Commandos" roster of characters, which includes returning stars from the DCEU and a lot of new faces. While he has yet to show up in the series, a tease has been released, and David Corenswet"s Superman makes his DCU debut before his 2025 movie alongside interesting characters.
DC (via @jordnjnes/Twitter) has shared a shocking trailer for Creature Commandos that features David Corenswet"s Superman, Starfire, John Cena"s Peacemaker, and more.
The surprise characters appear at the start of the trailer, and things do not look too good for them. After the Wonder Woman villain, Circe, says, "I will show you the future," the Creature Commandos trailer cuts to what appears to be a nightmare-like scenario where David Corenswet"s Superman, Starfire, Peacemaker, and presumably more DCU heroes have died after a major battle. That vision could have something to do with future DCU movies.
What The New Creature Commandos Trailer Means The Major DCU Debuts Tease Multiple Stories Close David Corenswet"s Superman making his DCU debut months before his 2025 movie is surprising. Starfire is also another major reveal, while John Cena"s Peacemaker appearance is more of a tame one. That said, all three characters are likely not going to have speaking roles in Creature Commandos. That comes from the nature of the scene in the animated series" trailer. Circe seems to be showing someone a vision of what could happen in a possible future, and so the heroes — and anti-hero in Peacemaker"s case — should appear to present the high stakes of that scenario.
