Sebastian Stan Recreates Bucky Barnes Fight Scene From Captain America: Civil War With Tony Stark Cosplayer In New Image

A new image sees Sebastian Stan recreate an iconic moment from Captain America: Civil War with a talented cosplay artist masquerading as Tony Stark"s Iron Man in the MCU. Since making his debut in 2011"s Captain America: The First Avenger, Sebastian Stan"s Bucky Barnes has been at the center of Marvel Studios" Captain America storylines. He was initially the best friend, sometimes adversary and eventual ally to Steve Rogers" Captain America, and then fought alongside Sam Wilson"s Star-Spangled-Man, and has contributed to some of the MCU"s most iconic moments.
One of these moments saw Bucky Barnes, under HYDRA"s control, battle Robert Downey Jr."s Tony Stark and the other Avengers after being freed by Zemo in 2016"s Captain America: Civil War. This moment has now been recreated by Sebastian Stan at 2024"s Tokyo Comic Con, with cosplayer NAWOQI playing the role of Tony Stark, bringing to life the moment Barnes fires a bullet into Stark"s armored hand. This recreation is excellent, with Stan delivering the perfect level of intensity opposite NAWOQI, a self-described "lover of Western movies."

NAWOQI has cosplayed as various characters from the MCU and other major movie franchises at many conventions for a number of years, though his most famous character is that of Tony Stark"s Iron Man. Kitted out with several different Tony Stark costumes, including those from The Avengers, Avengers: Endgame and even a full Iron Man suit of armor, NAWOQI"s dedication to the role is seriously impressive, and almost perfect.

This includes Doctor Strange"s moment from Endgame with Benedict Cumberbatch, Tony Stark"s spar with Loki from The Avengers with Tom Hiddleston, fighting the Black Order with Spider-Man in Infinity War and handing back Captain America"s shield in Endgame. NAWOQI has also recreated Iron Man"s emotional MCU sacrifice from Endgame in full costume, which is very powerful.

The fact that Sebastian Stan seemed to get straight back into character for this photo proves his dedication to the role of Bucky Barnes, which will be great to see translated into his upcoming portrayal of the Winter Soldier in 2025"s Thunderbolts*. Bucky Barnes started to become a hero in Captain America: Civil War, so it"s great to see Sebastian Stan paying homage to this project almost a decade later.
