David Harbour Just Stole A Very Specific Superhero Movie Record From Another MCU Actor
David Harbour"s latest superhero role breaks a specific record previously held by an
MCU actor. Since Stranger Things, Harbour"s acting profile has continued to rise with more prominent roles in blockbuster projects. The actor recently joined the MCU in Black Widow as Alexei Shostakov, a.k.a. Red Guardian, father of Natasha Romanoff and Yelena Belova. He will reprise the role in Marvel"s Thunderbolts*, fighting alongside many of the MCU"s best antiheroes, like Yelena, U.S. Agent, Ghost, and Taskmaster.
Harbour is now jumping between superhero universes with his latest role in the
DCU"s Creature Commandos. He voices Eric Frankenstein, the creation of Victor Frankenstein who obsessively pursues The Bride despite her constant rejections. Harbour isn"t the first actor to star in Marvel and DC projects, but his role in Creature Commandos does break a particular record that he now holds over another MCU actor.
David Harbour's MCU & DCU Roles Break Another Actor's Superhero Record Close Harbour"s DCU and MCU roles do not have a long span in between them. Creature Commandos is streaming on Max now and its finale premieres on January 9, 2025. Thunderbolts* debuts in theaters a few months later on May 2, 2025, meaning
his MCU and DCU roles will only be 113 days apart. This breaks Randall Park"s previous record of 159 days between his role as Agent Jimmy Woo in Marvel"s Ant-Man and the Wasp and as Dr. Stephen Shin in DC"s Aquaman.
