During his appearance on the Happy, Sad, Confused podcast, Gunn was asked about an update on the Booster Gold TV show that has been in development for over a year while also bringing up whether or not there is any truth to Eternals star Kumail Nanjiani being cast in that role. While Gunn wouldn"t confirm any casting, the DC Studios co-CEO shared the following about what is going on with Booster Gold:

We"re not quite there yet. The scripts aren"t quite where I want them to be. We"re not going to shoot until I"m happy with the script.
