In a new interview with Rotten Tomatoes, Gunn opened up about the Batman cameo in Creature Commandos season 1, episode 6, while also offering up a brief update on the Dark Knight in the newly established continuity. Without getting too specific, Gunn stressed that with Batman being his favorite superhero, he can"t wait for fans to see what DC Studios is planning for him, stating the following:

This is the DCU Batman...[laughs when asked which Batman is it] I gotta tell you, I love him! I"ve loved him since I was a little kid. He"s one of my favorite characters, I have gone on the record in the past when I was at Marvel saying, "My favorite character is Batman, I love him." We"re going to do great things with him, he"s the most popular superhero in the world and I can"t wait for people to see more of him, along with Superman and together.
