DC Studios" rebooted cinematic franchise, the DC Universe, is underway with Creature Commandos leading the charge on Max. While the DCU"s live-action offerings will debut with Superman on July 11, there is no word yet on when Batman will join with his own solo movie. It was confirmed in June 2023 that The Flash director, Andy Muschietti, is due to direct, although there have been no casting confirmations yet.
Talking to Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Bill Skarsgård has thrown his hat into the ring in a bid to portray The Brave and the Bold"s Joker, asserting "I have a really f***ing cool Joker in me." Skarsgård"s most recent comic book movie role was as the eponymous character in The Crow, though he has also had a hand in Marvel movies as Kro in Eternals and the short-lived Zeitgeist in Deadpool 2.
