Marvel Can"t Ignore The Best Solution For Blade"s Struggling Production Forever
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has had many issues trying to get Mahershala Ali"s
Blade movie off the ground, and after a series of problems, it has become impossible to ignore the best solution to the Blade debacle. Wesley Snipes" Blade movies are very important for superhero films in general. The franchise, alongside Tobey Maguire"s Spider-Man and Fox"s original X-Men movies, helped usher in the era of superhero films that would include the MCU and soon James Gunn"s upcoming DC Universe. However, despite his popularity,
Blade has only one MCU appearance so far.
The biggest issue is that sole appearance did not even come from the actor cast to play the MCU"s Blade. Instead of having Mahershala Ali appear in the MCU,
Wesley Snipes returned as Blade in Deadpool & Wolverine. Recently, it was announced that the MCU"s Blade movie has been indefinitely delayed, which means the project was taken off Marvel"s release schedule and now has no set timeline to come to the big screen. That is only the latest — and biggest — chapter in the troubled development of Ali"s Blade movie. However, there is an easy solution to it.
The MCU's Blade Has Been Needlessly Problematic Many Changes Have Happened Behind The Scenes Close The story of the MCU"s Blade movie does not have to be very complicated. It is very straightforward, in fact, as fans, more than anything,
just want to see Mahershala Ali"s Blade hunt vampires. However, Marvel Studios has failed to get Blade rolling despite the long time devoted to the project"s development. Blade was announced back in 2019 when Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige revealed many projects on the MCU"s slate for the Multiverse Saga. Since then, Ali has only had a voice cameo in one of Eternals" post-credits scenes as Blade, which is hardly enough.
Related I’m Convinced That Wesley Snipes Will Play Blade Again Before Mahershala Ali Joins The MCU After the MCU Blade movie received a very negative update, I believe that Wesley Snipes will be the only Blade of the MCU"s Multiverse Saga.
Posts Blade has lost two directors, with the MCU movie currently not having someone to helm it. The film has also reportedly gone through rewrites, with reports and rumors pointing to dropped stories, such as a 1920s setting and Blade having a daughter. The delays to Blade have also impacted its cast, with
the film losing major stars like Aaron Pierre, who has now switched superhero universes and will play the DCU Green Lantern John Stewart. Blade"s issues make little sense, as the character is not really complicated. After years of struggling, Marvel can"t ignore the best solution to Blade"s problems.
Bringing Back Wesley Snipes Alongside Mahershala Ali Is Every Marvel Fan's Dream Two Blades Are Better Than One Close Fans requested Wesley Snipes to come back as Blade for a long time before Marvel actually did it this year. His performance in Deadpool & Wolverine was one of the film"s most talked about aspects. After his return to the role, fans have started asking for Snipes to either become the MCU"s Blade or get a final movie, with Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds being one of those pushing for the latter to happen. While
Marvel continues to be committed to Mahershala Ali playing the MCU version of Blade, even if his movie has been delayed, Snipes could still return.

While Deadpool & Wolverine featured a joke about how Snipes is "the one and only Blade," the MCU has the perfect opportunity to pay that off with a different plan than just having Ali star as Blade in a solo film. Since
the franchise still has a few years left in its Multiverse Saga, the time is now for Marvel to have as much fun as possible with legacy actors from past superhero movies. Having Snipes and Ali co-star in the MCU"s first Blade movie would be the best of both worlds, and Snipes" Blade could even mentor Ali"s.
Snipes Deserves A Blade Return, And The MCU Needs It Deadpool & Wolverine Showed The Actor Still Got It Close Wesley Snipes did not miss a beat as Blade.
Returning after 20 years since he had last played the Marvel hero, the actor delivered one of the best performances in Deadpool & Wolverine, with great action scenes and hilarious moments coming from Snipes" dead serious delivery of lines as Blade. Marvel has already teased that two members of the Void"s Resistance from the 2024 MCU movie should be coming back, with scenes teasing the return of Dafne Keen"s X-23 and Channing Tatum"s Gambit. While that has yet to happen for Snipes" Blade, the actor deserves another MCU appearance.
Snipes is one of the actors who helped usher in the start of superhero universes in theaters and TV. As such, while the MCU continues to use the multiverse in stories, the actor is one of the stars who should be part of the franchise. Besides,
Marvel has struggled during the Multiverse Saga, with projects like The Marvels bombing at the box office. Deadpool & Wolverine"s enormous success, breaking box office records and having its multiverse characters be received well by critics and fans, shows that the MCU"s
Blade movie could only benefit from having Snipes and Ali together.
