The MCU Already Has 2 Ways To Replace The Hulk In The New Avengers Team

Marvel Studios may have already set up two perfect replacements for the Hulk who could prove essential to the Young Avengers team in the MCU. With the recent introduction of many young superheroes in the MCU, theories have emerged suggesting Marvel Studios is laying the foundations for the Young Avengers to make their first live-action appearance. Several possible team members have already been confirmed or teased, but in order to match the might of the original Avengers team, the Young Avengers also need a Hulk.
It was after Iman Vellani"s debut as Kamala Khan"s Ms. Marvel when theories of the Young Avengers" formation skyrocketed. 2023"s The Marvels ended with Kamala meeting Hailee Steinfeld"s Kate Bishop with the prospect of bringing together a team. More recently, Agatha All Along introduced Joe Locke"s 16-year-old Wiccan, while the Worlds of Marvel cruise experience brought Kathryn Newton"s Cassie Lang, Xochitl Gomez"s America Chavez and Dominique Thorne"s Riri Williams together for the first time. The Young Avengers team is really shaping up, and Marvel has also teased two possible Hulk additions to the growing roster.
The Young Avengers Already Has A Ready-Made Hulk Replacement She-Hulk: Attorney At Law Debuted Skaar In The MCU

Stargirl actor Wil Deusner made his MCU debut in 2022"s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law as Skaar, the Sakaaran son of Bruce Banner"s Hulk, who was presumably conceived and born during the Hulk"s time on Sakaar prior to the events of 2017"s Thor: Ragnarok. Since time works differently on Sakaar, Skaar was able to appear in the MCU"s Phase 4 as a teenager, perhaps setting him up to become a member of the Young Avengers. It"s unclear whether Deusner will reprise the role, as he could easily be replaced, but Skaar deserves more attention in the MCU"s future.

Posts In Marvel Comics, Skaar is a darker version of his father, the Hulk, though he is still depicted as a superhero, becoming a member of teams such as SMASH and the Dark Avengers. Skaar made his first appearance during 2007"s World War Hulk event, leading many to speculate that his appearance in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law could set up this iconic storyline for a live-action adaptation. Skaar hasn"t been seen or heard from in the two years since She-Hulk: Attorney at Law"s finale, so it would be great to see him return to become a Young Avenger.
Skaar is the perfect age to join the Young Avengers team, especially now that he"s aging at a regular pace given the fact that he"s currently residing on Earth. Little is known about Skaar"s parentage, history on Sakaar and journey to Earth, so it"s crucial that he returns to have these elements of his story fleshed out further. He could be a wonderful loose cannon among the Young Avengers, not just a superpowered human, but a human/alien hybrid, which gives Marvel Studios plenty of opportunity to have fun with the little-known character.
Amadeus Cho’s Hulk Would Pay Off An MCU Tease From 2015 Avengers: Age Of Ultron Provided The First Amadeus Cho Tease Close While he was introduced to Marvel Comics as a Korean-American genius teenager in 2005"s Amazing Fantasy (Vol. 2) #15, Amadeus Cho replaced Bruce Banner as the Hulk in 2015"s The Totally Awesome Hulk #1. A younger iteration of the powerful green hero, Amadeus Cho"s Hulk, later known as Brawn, reveled in his newfound abilities with confidence, and retains his normal personality when in Hulk form, which would make him an excellent addition to the MCU"s Young Avengers team. Luckily, Marvel Studios has already teased Amadeus Cho"s introduction to the MCU.

2015"s Avengers: Age of Ultron introduced Claudia Kim to the MCU as Dr. Helen Cho, a world-renowned geneticist and the leader of the U-GIN Research Group in Seoul. Helen Cho helped Hawkeye recover after their spar with HYDRA in Sokovia, and, under Ultron"s control, built the Vision"s body using vibranium. In Marvel Comics, Helen Cho is Amadeus Cho"s mother, so Avengers: Age of Ultron may have provided the MCU"s first tease towards the introduction of Amadeus Cho"s Hulk replacement almost a decade ago.

Bruce Banner has never really had the attention he deserves in the MCU, but Amadeus Cho could have much more reach if he debuts among the Young Avengers. In Marvel Comics, Cho becomes a member of several iconic superhero teams, including the Young Avengers, which makes this evolution in the MCU even more likely. Most notably, Amadeus Cho became a founding member of the Champions following the Civil War II storyline in 2016, alongside the likes of Ms. Marvel, Miles Morales" Spider-Man and a time-displaced Cyclops, among others.
