Warning: The following contains SPOILERS for The Flash season 9, episode 4, "Mask of the Red Death, Part 1."There is reason to believe that the Red Death killed Batwoman during the events of The Flash season 9. It has been known for several months that actress Javicia Leslie, who took on the role of new Batwoman Ryan Wilder in Batwoman season 2, would be playing an otherworldly speedster called the Red Death in The Flash season 9. However, the precise nature of this villain and their connection to Ryan Wilder was not revealed until The Flash season 9, episode 4, "Mask of the Red Death, Part 1."
The Red Death approached Iris West-Allen pretending to be the Ryan Wilder of Earth-Prime, eventually confirming that she was the Ryan Wilder of another timeline while claiming that Iris had been her best friend. This Batwoman also claimed to have studied the technology of her allies as well as her enemies, crafting an artificial Speed Force so that she could "put a criminal behind bars before they even thought of committing a crime." It soon became clear that the Red Death was as dangerous as the villains she once fought in Gotham City, presumably due to the corrupting influence of the Negative Speed Force.
