James Gunn is starting the new version of DC movies and series with something the old DCEU never had: an animated show. Creature Commandos, the TV-MA animated series that had all of its 7 episodes written by Gunn, debuts on Max on December 5, this Thursday. While fans still have to wait a few more days for the first project in the DCU"s Chapter One, the first set of reactions and reviews to Creature Commandos is out, and the reception to the show is positive.
James Gunn"s Creature Commandos debuts with a perfect 100% score from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. While it is important to note that there are only 10 reviews so far for the first DCU project on the platform, so numbers should fluctuate, Creature Commandos is off to a great start. The DC series has to be satisfying in itself but also offer the first exploration of a whole new universe, perhaps teasing or setting up future storylines and characters. As such, the strong reception to Creature Commandos" cast and story is exciting.
