Phase 6"s Avengers: Secret Wars could recover one amazing multiversal-themed MCU scene that has been scrapped twice already. The Multiverse Saga has allowed the MCU to create scenarios that would be unimaginable without the concept of alternate timelines. Recent releases like Loki, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Deadpool & Wolverine have brought together different portrayals of characters from previous franchises like Fox"s X-Men movie universe and Sony"s Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man movies. The Multiverse Saga has even introduced multiversal mutants in the MCU even before the MCU"s own X-Men movie arrives.

Spider-Man: No Way Home scrapped a multiversal montage sequence where Doctor Strange chases Tom Holland"s Spidey through Sam Raimi"s Spider-Man and Marc Webb"s The Amazing Spider-Man timelines. Concept art for Spider-Man: No Way Home"s deleted scenes suggests that Strange and Spider-Man were supposed to fight exactly when and where memorable scenes from previous Spider-Man movies took place.
