As the Marvel Cinematic Universe audience waits to see Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, the upcoming war comes to life through talented artistry. When it comes to the MCU timeline and its next batch of films in the coming years, the return of Downey Jr. is, without a doubt, the most anticipated event of all time. While Marvel Studios is keeping details under wrap on how they are going to execute his Doctor Doom debut, some fans are already giving pretty big suggestions about how the showdown between him and various Avengers members will look in Phase 6.
Graphic designer Antizzzz recently shared a new poster art for Avengers: Doomsday, which is one of the two confirmed films that Downey Jr. will be back for in The Multiverse Saga. In the artwork for Avengers: Doomsday, Doctor Doom is getting ready to face Tom Holland"s Spider-Man, Hugh Jackman"s Wolverine, and Benedict Cumberbatch"s Doctor Strange. Check it out below.
Downey Jr. will start shooting Avengers: Doomsday in 2025, and the same goes for Cumberbatch, as he confirmed that he will be filming next year. For Holland, his Spider-Man 4 movie is set to begin principal photography in the summer of 2025, while reports have also claimed that he will be in Avengers: Doomsday, too.
What The Robert Downey Jr As Doctor Doom Art Means For The MCU Close Even though the Avengers: Doomsday cast is still many months away from filming, it says a lot that fans are already making concept art about what they are expecting out of Downey Jr. playing Doctor Doom in the MCU. The casting reveal that Downey Jr. will bring the iconic antagonist to life in the MCU is, without doubt, the biggest surprise from Marvel Studios in a very long time. As a core Marvel figure, Doctor Doom"s MCU debut has been anticipated for years, and the way the franchise is building towards him suggests a big introduction is impending.
Having Downey Jr. come back to Marvel as Doctor Doom will naturally spark a lot of theories and ideas about what the MCU will do with Victor in Phase 6. Once Avengers: Doomsday begins principal photography, it will be exciting to see if there will be any reveals of Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom. But for now, the world will have to wait and see how the MCU will approach Doctor Doom with Downey Jr.
