The Marvel Cinematic Universe has given audiences one of their best series yet with Agatha All Along coming to a sensational close, leading to concerns about Scarlet Witch returning to the franchise. The ending of the series has reasonably brought up the question of whether Agatha All Along season 2 is possible, although no concrete details have been provided for this. Still, Agatha All Along"s ending is also a kind of beginning, and there are certainly more stories planned in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that will follow the stories set here.
The finale of Agatha All Along had plenty of easter eggs and references for audiences who paid close attention, and the final episodes made direct references to the events of WandaVision. While Scarlet Witch did not appear in the episode, her voice from WandaVision was heard in a scene where Billy remembers the end of Westview. Because of this tonal shift, there was disappointment that Scarlet Witch was not in Agatha All Along, as there was hope that Jac Schaeffer - creator of both that series and WandaVision - would find ways to redeem her there. Still, there are continued hopes that Wanda will somehow return to the MCU, perhaps even in a solo film.

Much of the finale of Agatha All Along actually mirrors the end of WandaVision, with Billy realizing that he was unwittingly behind the events that had happened. The overwhelming power that Billy has is similar to that which his mother possessed, leading to the likely possibility that Billy will instead fulfill any story that could otherwise be planned for Wanda. Put simply, Wanda is no longer needed in the same way she may have been once prior.
The relationship between Ghost Agatha and Billy that was set up at the end of Agatha certainly points towards future stories. However, it seems that instead of using that mentor-mentee relationship between Agatha and Wanda, as was done in the comics, this is instead planned to be done with Agatha and Billy. With Billy"s incredible power and a dark and complex relationship with Agatha, the MCU now seems poised to tell stories that may have been a part of the Scarlet Witch"s canon with this new character instead.
Agatha All Along Still Teases Scarlet Witch's Return, But Not How You Think The Entire Maximoff Family May Be Seen Again In The Future Close Despite the future not being focused on Wanda, there is still a high possibility that Scarlet Witch could return in some capacity to the MCU. Agatha All Along episode 8 and 9 conclude with Billy and Agatha heading off to find Tommy, his brother. It is inevitable that once Tommy is located, more stories concerning the unification of the family will follow. Vision is already set to receive a follow-up series, and if the three of them come together, it seems par for the course that locating Wanda will come next.
While Wanda is dead, death is a force that can be overcome in the MCU. For example, though Agatha finally met her end with a kiss she shared with Rio Vidal, she continues to persist in the MCU as a ghost. Other such details or reasoning could be given to provide additional looks at Wanda in the MCU"s future. While it may now seem less likely that the Scarlet Witch will return in any significant capacity, it has actually become more likely that audiences will see her again in the franchise.
Agatha All Along has been a unique and exciting thrill-ride in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and already feels like the kind of series that will be revisited year after year. With complex characterization and an interesting exploration of another side of the MCU, the series is likely to have ramifications on the future of the franchise. Where things go with Billy and the potential return of Wanda remain to be seen, but it is unlikely that Agatha All Along will be the last that audiences see of these beloved characters.
