The DC Universe Just Revealed Its New Batman

A new Batman has appeared for the first time, as the Dark Knight of James Gunn"s DC Universe has debuted. The last couple of weeks saw a surge of Batman news. Those were related to the character"s future in upcoming DC movies, both in the DCU and not. The Flash director Andy Muschietti will helm Batman"s The Brave and the Bold movie, which should serve as the live-action debut of the DCU"s Batman. Recently, Muschietti said that he is likely to work on another film before the Batman movie as the project had been delayed.
Alongside that reveal came news of another Batman movie suffering a delay. Robert Pattinson"s The Batman - Part II has been moved to October 1, 2027, two years after the DC film"s initial release date. The film could also reportedly get a new title. Due to the delays, speculation started to mount about how Gunn and The Batman franchise creator Matt Reeves could be working out a way to make Pattinson the Bruce Wayne of the DCU. However, a new release from the shared universe has revealed Batman"s first canon appearance and effectively ended that speculation.
A First Look At Batman Came In The DCU's New Release The Shared Universe's First Project Features The Dark Knight While Batman"s first live-action appearance in the DCU might be reserved for Andy Muschietti"s The Brave and the Bold, the Dark Knight has already made his presence felt in a key way. James Gunn decided to start the DCU with Creature Commandos. The TV-MA animated series has a dark tone, with more mature themes and bloody violence than most superhero movies and shows. The project was perfect for complex characters to shine, and due to his connection to one of the main stars of the show, Batman made his DCU debut in Creature Commandos.
