Lanterns is making some big moves as Warner Bros. Discovery is moving the DC Universe show to HBO, with its episode order finally confirmed.
After having been in development since January 2023, Lanterns has finally been picked up to series, but with a big twist. Instead of airing on Max, Lanterns will now be moving to HBO, with Chris Mundy attached as showrunner while Tom King and Damon Lindelof will be writing and executive producing. Lanterns season 1 will officially consist of eight episodes, while HBO describes the show as follows:

The series follows new recruit John Stewart and Lantern legend Hal Jordan, two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland.
