A Supernatural franchise star looks perfect for his dream DC role — Nightwing — in new DC Universe art. James Gunn has yet to announce when Dick Grayson will debut in the DCU; however, the creator has both hinted at Nightwing on social media and revealed that the Bat-Family will be part of Batman's The Brave and the Bold movie. That means Dick's DCU debut could come relatively soon, and a Supernatural star wants to play Nightwing.
On Twitter, artist @jobhutz shared stunning art of The Winchesters' Drake Rodger as the DCU's Nightwing.
Rodger played a young version of Supernatural's John Winchester, who is the father of the series' leads, Sam and Dean Winchester. The latter was played by Jensen Ackles, who has become the fan-favorite for the DCU's Batman. Rodger looks pitch-perfect as Nightwing, wearing the hero's classic black and blue suit.
Rodger also commented on the fan art, saying, "I love it!" The actor has already revealed that he hopes to at least audition for the DCU's Nightwing, with Rodger having trained for the role with Nightwing's escrima sticks for the past three years.
