DC Makes The Perfect Superman Upgrade For Anyone Who Hates David Corenswet"s Trunks

Contains spoilers for My Adventures With Superman season 2!
Summary
  • My Adventures With Superman season 2 tweaks the animated show costume with a new suit that removes the red trunks.
  • The new suit features a more armored look with shoulder pads, and a yellow crest border.
  • The red trunks debate continues, with adaptations like My Adventures With Superman showing they can still work in the modern era.
Superman fans who dislike a certain old school element of the costume have something to be excited about when it comes to the newest episode of My Adventures With Superman, as another DC adaptation tweaks this iteration of the costume in favor of a more modern look. Throughout the majority of My Adventures With Superman, the anime-inspired take on the character brought the hero back to his roots by once again sporting his red trunks after being missing from the costume in more recent adaptations.
The red trunks have been divisive within the Superman fanbase in the modern era, as the past decade of adaptations has largely focused on a more streamlined costume that ditches them. Two of the most recent adaptations, though, have gone back to the trunks, with My Adventures With Superman and the new DCU Superman costume following a more classical approach. However, My Adventures With Superman season 2, episode 9 changes things up for the animated iteration of the Man of Steel's costume.
