Hugh Jackman will don Wolverine's yellow suit in Deadpool 3, but a Marvel Cinematic Universe star thinks there is one thing wrong with it. Jackman first played Wolverine in 2000's X-Men, but Deadpool 3 will mark the first time he gets to suit up in Wolverine's classic costume. Following a series of MCU delays, Deadpool 3 is Marvel Studios' only 2024 movie, which puts even more focus on Jackman's Wolverine and his new costume.
Speaking with CinemaBlend, The Marvels star Iman Vellani revealed that she thinks Jackman's Deadpool 3 Wolverine suit should have a half-sleeve. While it has not been revealed if Kamala Khan and Wolverine's paths will cross in a future MCU movie, Vellani is excited to watch Jackman return for Deadpool 3's multiversal story and don Wolverine's yellow costume. However, Vellani pointed out something fans have been criticizing about Wolverine's suit — the presence of long sleeves — saying, "I do wish it was the half sleeve suit, not gonna lie, I want to see his arms." Like, especially where we've come from Bryan Singer's X-Men and like their entire black leather suits. And that like one joke that Cyclops made of like, ‘Oh, would you prefer Yellow Spandex?’ This is the moment all the fans have been waiting for. It's so cool.

Why Deadpool 3 Was The Perfect Place For Jackman To Wear The Yellow Wolverine Suit The Wolverine Costume Had Only Appeared In A Deleted Scene So Far

After being teased in a deleted scene from 2013's The Wolverine, Jackman will finally get to wear a version of the X-Men character's iconic yellow costume in Deadpool 3. The movie is the perfect project for Jackman to look the most comic book-accurate he has yet as Wolverine. Following the reveal of set photos and videos with Deadpool and Wolverine fighting next to the 20th Century Fox Logo, as well as the movie's rumored Fox Marvel franchise cameos, and Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool having to arrive in the MCU, the film's multiverse story is cemented.
Jackman even said he is pulling double duty in Deadpool 3, teasing that multiple versions of Wolverine might be in play for the film. By having the main Wolverine variant of Deadpool 3 in the yellow and blue X-Men costume, the movie easily distinguishes the character from whatever variants will appear.
