I Can’t Believe DC Just Had Lex Luthor Sue Lois Lane & It Wasn’t Even The Wildest Part Of The Story

Events on Superman & Lois are looking bleak for the heroes, with the DC villain Lex Luthor adding insult to injury with the reveal of a lawsuit against Lois Lane. Superman & Lois season 4, episode 9 sets up some crucial storylines for the upcoming final episode of the entire show, closing with Superman facing Doomsday once more to his family"s concern. However, this wasn"t the only key event to happen in the episode, as Lex Luthor has several plans up his sleeve to take down the titular duo.
Michael Cudlitz has crafted one of my favorite live-action versions of Lex Luthor yet, and the villain has done a great deal to cause trouble for the series" heroes. With disturbing plans that seem to constantly be two steps ahead, every action the villain has taken has helped to cement his version as one of the most evil versions of Lex Luthor ever seen. How this culminates in only one more episode has me gripped with rapt attention, as things seem to be going surprisingly well for the fearsome villain.
Superman & Lois Season 4 Revealed Lex Luthor Is Looking To Sue Lois Superman & Lois Season 4 Brings A Lawsuit To The In-Universe Story Close Following their contentious relationship throughout the season, episode 9 revealed that Lex Luthor is intending to sue Lois Lane for defamation. This follows in all of her attempts to make people aware of the dangers Lex poses, including the reporting that she has done about Lex and his underhand schemes. Amanda reveals this plan to Lois directly, and while the rest of the episode distracts from this plotline, it"s definitely a notable one. With so much already over their heads, the specter of a lawsuit is another terrifyingly important blow to Lois and her family.
With the show bringing the extended Arrowverse to an end, the implications of this lawsuit are potentially very upsetting, since there"s no spinoffs or other series to follow up the storyline in. After rewriting DC lore with Superman"s identity being revealed to the world, the family has had more horrible twists and turns to face with every step in the show. A lawsuit against Lois that could potentially stop her from being able to spread the truth - arguably her greatest passion and purpose - would be another horrible event that would have devastating effects on the family.
I'm Fascinated To See If Superman & Lois Actually Has Lex Luthor Fully Sue Lois Lane This Detail Could Add A Devastating Twist To The Finale Of The Man Of Steel Series Close With only one episode left, it seems unlikely that Lex Luthor"s plan to sue Lois Lane will come to fruition. However, the idea is terrifying, and if things go fully wrong for the heroes, it could be a part of the villain"s destructive, larger plan. Lex Luthor could kill the Man of Steel in the series finale, and if this occurs, he would be much more set up to succeed. Even with Jonathan and Jordan set on stopping him as well, the possibility of his lawsuit going through would be much more likely without Superman.
I can"t imagine the show ending with death of Superman once again, but it is not impossible. With Doomsday returning, and with Sam Lane"s heart being weakened, the thought of Superman dying for good in the finale of the show is shockingly likely. I hope that it does not occur, and that Lex"s lawsuit does not move forward. However, both of these details are certainly possible for the story, as the series has brought plenty of surprising twists over the course of its run.
Superman & Lois' Ending Tease Suggests How Lex Luthor Suing Lois Will Really End The Finale Promises To Be Big And Explosive Close The trailer for Superman & Lois" season finale gives a glimpse of the final episode of the show, and it appears unlikely that this lawsuit will take center stage. Much is sure to occur with Lex in the finale, as he prepares himself in a supersuit to fight against the heroes. With the return of Doomsday upping the stakes further, this ultimate conflict could result in the death of Lex Luthor. I believe this could be done satisfyingly, with great care for the show’s story, while simultaneously rendering his lawsuit void.
If this does not occur, and if Lex lives through the end of the show, it seems likely that he will instead destroy his own reputation. This version of the villain is unable to resist performing evil actions, and revelling in the pain that he causes Superman. In the series finale, this final battle will likely be seen by many throughout the world and, if Lex Luthor decides to be himself and perform truly devious actions, it seems likely that the public will see how valid Lois’ reporting on him has been, rendering his lawsuit invalid.
The ending of Superman & Lois has a great deal to do, and seems set up for a truly emotional finale to the CW series. Lex"s plans to sue Lois add an interesting wrinkle to this story, although it appears likely that this plan will not amount to much - or, at least, I hope that is the case. There is only so much that the heroes of Superman & Lois will be able to stand up against in their ultimate episode, and I hope dearly that things work out for them in the end.
