Captain America: Brave New World's Box Office Officially Passes The MCU's Second Biggest Bomb's Entire Gross In Just 2 Weeks
Having already surpassed The Marvels,
Captain America: Brave New World outperforms the MCU"s second-biggest box office bomb. Captain America: Brave New World"s $180 million budget made Sam Wilson"s first Captain America movie a much less risky bet than previous Marvel offerings like Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Thor: Love and Thunder, and Eternals. Captain America: Brave New World"s reviews have earned the Phase 5 movie lower ratings than all three previous installments in Steve Rogers" Captain America trilogy, but that hasn"t kept it from performing quite well at the box office, at least compared to other releases in the MCU"s Phases 4 and 5.
As of March 4th, 2025,
Captain America: Brave New World has reached $341,9 million worldwide, surpassing The Incredible Hulk"s $264,7 million (via Box Office Mojo). Captain America: Brave New World beat The Incredible Hulk on all counts, with higher domestic and international openings, and a higher domestic and international total gross. Captain America: Brave New World is currently on track to surpass Captain America: The First Avenger"s $370,5 million worldwide gross very soon.
