The MCU"s Blade Movie Just Got Its Most Exciting Update In 4 Years

The Marvel Cinematic Universe Blade movie has just received its biggest update in four years. Things are starting to look good for Blade, the MCU movie that came together because of the desire of its leading man. Originally not on Marvel Studios' slate, Blade entered development after two-time Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali reached out to Marvel Studios' president, Kevin Feige, to express his interest in playing Blade in the MCU. The movie was officially announced during Marvel's 2019 San Diego Comic-Con panel and later received a November 2023 release date.
However, Blade would eventually be delayed due to the movie losing its original director, Bassam Tariq, over what was said to be "continued shifts in the production schedule." Blade was then moved by Marvel from November 2023 to a September 2024 release, with Blade's filming reportedly aiming for a May start. With production being imminent, Marvel's Blade has just got its most exciting update in the four years since the movie was announced. The latest news for Blade reveals that actress Mia Goth has joined the movie, and the young star's body of work proves that Blade is going in the direction Marvel fans most want it to.
