Sylvie"s Importance In Loki Points To Her True MCU Multiverse Role

Loki’s Sylvie may play a more important role in the MCU’s Multiverse Saga than it may seem. Fans are even more eager to return to the escapades of their favorite God of Mischief in season 2 after seeing Tom Hiddleston’s Loki with Owen Wilson’s Mobius in one of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’s post-credits scenes. While other Disney+ shows have been pushed back to 2024, Loki season 2 is still set to debut this year.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania certainly set up a lot for Loki, including Kang’s presumed death leading to the introduction of the Council of Kangs. While the film’s stinger revealed Victor Timely, the Kang variant who will feature in Loki, one equally significant character was missing. Sophia Di Martino’s Sylvie was such a stand-out and is among the most engaging characters introduced in Phase 4, yet there’s no signal of what to expect from her this season. Her actions in season 1 guarantee she’ll still be a central figure in season 2, but she may be even more integral to the Multiverse Saga than it seems at first glance.
