The Supergirl Movie's Suit Reveal Confirms The Key Difference Between Milly Alcock & Sasha Calle's Versions

The Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow suit has been revealed, and it confirms that there will be key differences between the DC Universe version of Kara Zor-El and the DCEU take on the character. After a long time absent from DC films, Kara finally returned in 2023"s The Flash. Instead of coming from the main timeline of the DCEU, the hero hailed from an alternate timeline created by Ezra Miller"s Barry Allen when he went back in time to save his mother.
Sasha Calle played the DCEU"s Supergirl. She looked different from how Kara does, with no blonde hair. The character served as a stand-in for Superman"s role in the Flashpoint storyline from the comics. While Calle was originally meant to continue as Supergirl for future DC movies, the change of leadership at the studio led to the DCEU being scrapped and a new actress getting to play a more classic version of Kara. House of the Dragon"s Milly Alcock is now bringing Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow"s story to life on the film"s set, and her Supergirl suit has been revealed.
The DCU Supergirl Movie Suit Has A Key Difference From The DCEU’s The Two Franchises Went In Different Directions For Supergirl's Tone Close While James Gunn and DC have yet to officially reveal a look at Alcock"s Supergirl in costume, the first peek at the new Supergirl suit has popped up online through new Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow set photos. Alcock"s version of the DC hero has a costume that looks very close to the one Kara sports in the comics that inspired her upcoming DCU movie. The design is classic, with Supergirl"s signature red skirt and boots. The DCU Supergirl also has the distinct gold belt she has in the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow comics.
