The final trailer for X-Men '97 celebrates the mutant team's story so far and prepares the Marvel mutants for an epic war. With just three episodes left, X-Men '97 has plenty of loose ends to tie up, including Magneto and Professor X's return, the public reveal of the X-Men's new main villain Bastion, and the mutants' revenge for the fall of Genosha. X-Men '97 is set to conclude with a three-part finale called "Tolerance Is Extinction", beginning with X-Men '97 episode 8's release on May 1. "Tolerance Is Extinction" suggests that many, if not most, mutant heroes will change their attitude towards their coexistence with humans.
On YouTube, Marvel Entertainment has posted the final X-Men '97 trailer, which features various moments from previous episodes, as well as a sneak peek of episodes 8, 9, and 10. The trailer gives special attention to Magneto, who utters the phrase "everything he built. Everything he fought for... now belongs to me" as the X-Mansion burns, pointing the former villain's return after the Genosha tragedy. The trailer also features a fun nod to the 2000 X-Men movie, with Cyclops answering to Cable's complaints about the team's suits with "what did you expect, black leather?". What X-Men '97's Final Trailer Sets Up About The Final 3 Episodes The 3-Part Finale 'Tolerance Is Extinction' Kicks Off Wednesday, May 1 Close Apart from all the footage from previous episodes, the X-Men '97 final trailer showcases a small glimpse at upcoming scenes. For instance, Storm will reunite with the X-Men and encourage them to "believe in each other", Nightcrawler will wield three swords to fight multiple Prime Sentinels alongside a battered Wolverine, and Cable will team up with Cyclops and Jean Grey at some point in the three-part finale. Meanwhile, Magneto will don his classic suit and helmet again, and the X-Mansion will likely be burnt to ash by a group of powerful Prime Sentinels that resemble regular humans.

The X-Men '97 final trailer doesn't feature a few important figures. X-Men '97's main villain Bastion is the main Prime Sentinel who likely executed the attack on Genosha. Although the trailer doesn't include him, Bastion may be the X-Men's ultimate enemy in the show, and he will likely have plenty of screentime after X-Men '97 episode 7's ending revealed that he has kidnapped Magneto. Likewise, Professor X has already found out about the Genosha tragedy and Gambit's death, so he will likely return to Earth and join his former students in the final fight against Bastion and the Prime Sentinels.
Cable must play an essential role in X-Men '97's three-episode finale, not only because Cyclops and Jean Grey have recognized him as Cyclops' son, but also because he previously failed to warn everyone about the attack on Genosha. Now back in the present, Cable might hold the key to defeat Bastion, and Cyclops' decision to send his baby to the future may be acknowledged by the time-traveling hero. Whether other X-Men '97 characters like Madelyne Pryor, Valerie Cooper, and Captain America will appear in the final three episodes is yet to be seen.
