After The Smallville Creator's Comments On The Potential Sequel Series, I'm Concerned About The DC Show's Future

Smallville"s potential sequel might not end up happening after one of the DC show"s creators issued new comments on the project"s chances. Smallville is one of the best Superman adaptations we have ever had. It"s funny that the show was technically about Clark Kent, not the Man of Steel, but over Smallville"s ten seasons, Clark got to meet a lot of the heroes he would be working with and the villains he would be fighting as Superman. There have been many great live-action DC shows, but Smallville stands as the best for me.
That is why I have always hoped that a Smallville sequel series would happen. After all, the DC show ended with Welling"s Clark Kent becoming Superman in its last episode. I want to see how that next chapter of his life plays out, and while the Smallville Season 11 comics provide a nice look into that, I would love to have Welling and the rest of the cast back as their characters to explore how they do as their fully realized DC Comics selves. While a Smallville sequel series is more or less in development, things are not looking good.
The Smallville Sequel Series Has Just Received An Update The DC Series' Creators Would Be Involved Close The two main stars of the DC series are the ones behind the planned sequel. Tom Welling and Lex Luthor actor Michael Rosenbaum have been developing concepts for the series for the last couple of years. They have even seen the animation for it and have a poster with John Glover"s Lionel Luthor looming over the characters, both of which have not been publicly released. I"m excited about the prospect of a Smallville animated sequel series and how Welling and Rosenbaum want to get as many actors to return as possible, with the show"s co-creators returning to write the sequel.
