Aaron Pierre Addresses Playing The Green Lantern John Stewart In The DCU"s Lanterns Show For The First Time

The series, which will be set in James Gunn and Peter Safran"s DC Universe, will star Pierre as well as Friday Night Lights" Kyle Chandler, and it is slated for a 2026 release.In an interview with ComicBook.com, Pierre expressed gratitude for his casting. The actor stated:
“What I can tell you is that the team are just super, super excited to have this opportunity to bring this story to the people. And, so far as I’m concerned, I’m gonna do my very best to serve and honor and elevate in any way I can, John Stewart and the [Green Lantern] Corps. Hopefully, I serve that and it resonates with me.”
