Superman & Lois’ Brainiac Just Gave Lex Luthor A Way To Kill The Man Of Steel

As the series finale of Superman & Lois looms and the end of DC on the CW arrives, Lex Luthor might finally have gotten a way to actually kill Superman for good. Superman & Lois" cast for season 4 has been impressive, moving Lex Luthor into a main role, as well as featuring the welcome addition of Jimmy Olsen. Another key addition to the cast is that of what appears to be Superman & Lois" version of Brainiac - seemingly going by the character"s comic alias of Milton Fine - who already has a significant role in its ending.
After four seasons, Superman & Lois is finally coming to an end, but before it does, the final episode promises an incredible showdown that fans have been hoping to see throughout the show"s run. In Superman & Lois season 4, episode 9, "To Live and Die Again," Milton makes an upgrade to Steel"s suit which officially becomes Lex"s warsuit, giving him enough strength to physically go toe-to-toe with the Man of Steel. No matter the outcome, though, the final season of the live-action Superman show has delivered in spades, taking the characters in interesting directions.
Superman & Lois Season 4, Episode 9 Upgrades Steel's Suit To Become Lex's Warsuit Close Milton has continuously helped Lex Luthor in his attempt to destroy Superman over the course of his appearances in the final season, and after hacking Steel"s suit, has finally given Lex Luthor his greatest chance at taking him down. After upgrading the suit, Lex Luthor finally has his comic suit that he has used countless times to level the playing field when fighting against Superman. It makes him all the more dangerous, of course, setting the stage for a climactic showdown.
Having Lex"s suit be the hacked and upgraded version of Steel"s just helps bring the series full circle.
Lex Luthor has never really been a physical threat to Superman, having to rely on his massive resources and wit to gain the upper hand on the Man of Steel. One way that DC Comics has made Lex more of a threat, though, was introducing his warsuit, which gave him the power he needed to physically fight back. Having Lex"s suit be the hacked and upgraded version of Steel"s just helps bring the series full circle, as the alternate universe John Henry Irons who built it went from antagonist to ally in the first season, with his suit now once again posing a threat.
Superman & Lois' Ending Tease Shows A Fully Upgraded Lex Luthor Vs Superman Is Coming Close The entirety of Superman & Lois season 4 has been leading up to the final climactic battle promised to take place between Superman and Lex Luthor. It"s the perfect way to end the series, as the hero squares off against his most iconic villain for one last time. There is serious bad blood between Clark Kent, Lois Lane, and Lex Luthor in Superman & Lois, as Luthor ultimately wants revenge against Kent and Lane for helping send him to prison for 17 years. As the promo footage for the finale shows, there will be no holding back from either character.
The final fight between Superman and Lex Luthor won"t actually be the only one that was featured on the show. The two previously fought in Superman & Lois season 4, episode 6, but under very different circumstances. This fight was before Luthor obtained his suit, with him instead stripping Clark of his own abilities via red solar light. It was a grounded fight between two equals at that moment, making the rematch all the more noteworthy since both characters will be significantly more powerful than in their first brawl, with one caveat.
Superman & Lois' Finale Story Makes It Possible Lex Luthor Could Really Kill Clark Kent Close During the penultimate episode of Superman & Lois, Lex Luthor sets Doomsday loose on Smallville, and the end of the episode sees a battered and nearly broken Superman yanked away by the vicious monster. Superman didn"t actually survive his initial encounter with Doomsday at the beginning of season 4, having to have a heart transplant which was supplied by Lois" dad, General Sam Lane, following his own death. After this, it was revealed that Clark Kent"s new heart was not compatible with his Kryptonian body.
Superman & Lois season 4, episode 10 will finish the series after its release on December 2, 2024.
This has led to Superman slowly getting weaker as the season progresses, never actually returning to the full strength he was before his death. That makes his final fight with Lex Luthor incredibly dangerous. Depending on how his fight with Doomsday ends, Superman could be weaker than ever, giving Luthor the upper hand with his suit and opening up the possibility that Clark Kent could actually die. Superman & Lois has always been content doing its own thing, and this could be the type of bold move the series would make as it concludes.
