After shooting for more than half a year, Gunn announced on social media that Peacemaker season 2 has officially wrapped filming, with the DC Studios co-CEO having pulled double-duty throughout 2024 by directing episodes of the new season while also working on Superman. At the time of this story"s publication, Peacemaker season 2 has been confirmed to premiere sometime in August 2025, with an exact date to be announced at a later time. Gunn has also confirmed that Peacemaker season 2 will take place after the events of David Corenswet"s Superman movie.
