Robert Pattinson"s Recent Comments Have Made Me Even More Concerned About The Future Of His Dark Knight After The Batman 2
The Batman - Part II is still years away and Robert Pattinson"s recent comments have made me slightly concerned for his future as The Dark Knight. Since the ending of The Batman, audiences have been waiting patiently for its sequel to continue the story of Matt Reeves" highly acclaimed iteration of Gotham City and its inhabitants. Although the wait was made less excruciating thanks to the events of The Penguin that fleshed out The Batman universe, The Batman 2 remains a few years away as of 2024"s ending.
Regardless, updates about The Batman 2 have come fairly regularly despite the long wait. As production on several movies and shows in the DCU"s Chapter One: Gods and Monsters gets underway, Matt Reeves continues to polish his script for The Batman - Part II as part of the franchise"s Elseworlds branch. With these updates being provided, lead actor Robert Pattinson has been asked about his future as Gotham"s Caped Crusader, and his comments - while in jest - have concerned me slightly.
Robert Pattinson's Comments Underline How Far Away The Batman 2 And 3 Likely Are The Timeline Of The DCU's Elseworlds Movies Seems Lengthy
With Reeves hard at work on the sequel"s script, Robert Pattinson was asked about The Batman trilogy as a whole. Pattinson is known for his dry humor, meaning his reply was clearly made as a joke. That said, the comment from Pattinson does highlight just how far away the two sequels to The Batman truly are. When asked about how the trilogy planning was going,
Pattinson stated: “I could genuinely be retiring by the end of them.” Of course, Pattinson is only 38 years old and will obviously not be retiring in the foreseeable future.
