Jensen Ackles becomes the DC Universe"s version of Batman in realistic new art. The actor has commented on how he would love to play the Dark Knight in live-action after voicing him in DC"s animated Tomorrowverse continuity. Batman"s The Brave and the Bold movie does not have a release date for now, but it is expected to be the project where he will make his live-action debut after joining the DCU"s Chapter One in animated form in Creature Commandos. With multiple names rumored for the role in the franchise, Ackles has emerged as one of the most popular candidates.

The fan art sees Ackles don an armored Batsuit that feels like a mix between Robert Pattinson"s costume from The Batman and the Dark Knight"s classic look from DC Comics. James Gunn has commented on how the DCU"s Batman will only be cast once there is a finished script for the film. While Gunn is working closely with the writer of The Brave and the Bold, which DC is keeping secret for now, the upcoming DCU movie is still a ways out.
