Due to the 2023 Hollywood strikes that postponed several movies and TV shows, as well as behind-the-scenes issues, The Batman 2 has been delayed twice. The film is now set to arrive in October 2027, though Robert Pattinson"s recent Dune 3 casting reports have led to speculation that the anticipated DC movie could take longer to release. Speaking with Inverse, Jayme Lawson, who played Bella Reál in The Batman, has revealed that the cast has not heard anything concrete about The Batman 2.
While Lawson said that she would love to share some insight on what is going on with The Batman sequel, the cast is still "waiting to hear about [The] Batman 2." The movie was expected to start shooting towards the end of the year, but with Pattinson reportedly joining Dune 3, it seems like the film could wait for its Bruce Wayne star and enter production only in 2026.
