After Agatha All Along, partnering one new MCU hero with Doctor Strange could be the perfect way for Marvel Studios to redeem the Scarlet Witch after her recent spin as a villain in Phase 4. Elizabeth Olsen"s Wanda Maximoff has been on a tumultuous journey in the MCU, beginning with the death of her parents and HYDRA"s experiments in Sokovia, and culminating in her sacrifice to destroy the Darkhold in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. After the Scarlet Witch"s death, another member of the Maximoff family has been continuing her story in the MCU.
Joe Locke"s character in Agatha All Along was originally known simply as "Teen," with his real identity being kept hidden behind a magical sigil. He was soon confirmed to be the son of the Scarlet Witch, as Billy Maximoff"s soul had inhabited the recently-deceased body of William Kaplan after the Westview Hex was dismantled. Billy Maximoff officially became Wiccan in Agatha All Along, and while Marvel Studios has barely scratched the surface of the true range of his powers, he could uncover more abilities by teaming up with an established MCU hero.

Billy Maximoff"s survival means it"s very likely he"ll return in future MCU projects, and actor Joe Locke has revealed which MCU hero he wants to join forces with following Agatha All Along (via Deadline). Locke suggested Maximoff could "learn a lot from Doctor Strange," which could be a fantastic connection to explore after the MCU"s Phase 4 storyline ended in tragedy for Wiccan"s mother, the Scarlet Witch.

I think Billy would learn a lot from Doctor Strange or someone. He’s such a young magic person who knows what they’re doing. Obviously, in the comics, they have a connection. So I think that would be cool, but who knows?

Even if Doctor Strange is currently in another dimension fighting an incursion with Clea, it"s very possible that Agatha All Along"s ending could lead to him crossing paths with Billy Maximoff.

The fact that the powerful witch Agatha Harkness died and returned as a ghost in Agatha All Along surely also would have got on the radar of the Masters of the Mystic Arts. It seems very likely that Joe Locke will get his wish for Billy Maximoff to train under Doctor Strange in the MCU"s future, and this evolution makes even more sense after the Scarlet Witch"s sacrifice in Phase 4.

It makes sense that Doctor Strange would become a mentor for Billy Maximoff in the MCU"s future, especially since he has already mentored other young heroes. Most notably, Doctor Strange helped Peter Parker"s Spider-Man in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and he protected America Chavez before bringing her to Kamar-Taj in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Billy Maximoff could be next, as Strange would help to unlock even more of Wiccan"s abilities, and this could be a great way for Strange to respond to the Scarlet Witch"s demise.
The Scarlet Witch learned the error of her ways at the end of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, so brought down the Darkhold Castle on Mount Wundagore on top of herself, and destroyed every copy of the Darkhold across the multiverse in the process, ensuring nobody else could access the Book of the Damned"s dark magic.
Doctor Strange surely feels wrong about the Scarlet Witch"s death, especially considering Wanda Maximoff only wanted to find a universe inhabited by her children. The return of one of her sons in a new body may make Strange reconsider opposing the Scarlet Witch so violently. Connecting Wiccan and Doctor Strange could also act as crucial set-up for the possible return of the Scarlet Witch after Agatha All Along, which has been heavily theorized and speculated. This could carry on the Scarlet Witch"s story in a way that makes her death feel even more significant.
