Deadpool & Wolverine Totally Snubbed In Oscars Race As Monkeys Dominate The 1 Category That Looked Most Likely

Despite its major Marvel Cinematic Universe success in 2024, the Academy Awards just delivered some bad news for Deadpool & Wolverine.
The Oscars nominations were finally announced for the 97th Academy Awards, and while Deadpool & Wolverine was the only outing from Marvel Studios in 2024, the Phase 5 installment ended up not landing a single nomination. In the category of Visual Effects, which is the one that Deadpool & Wolverine were expected to land in, the following films were instead nominated:

• Alien: Romulus
• Better Man
• Dune: Part Two
• The Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes
• Wicked
