The return of Tom Holland as the titular character is highly anticipated after the success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, which was beloved by fans and critics alike. With that film's $1.916 box office total, the story of Spider-Man 4 has been hotly anticipated since the prior movie released in 2021.

Sommers and McKenna have written on all three MCU Spider-Man movies, and also worked on Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Ant-Man and the Wasp.

This is likely also to film early in the year, as the movie feature is already deeply into pre-production.
