Bullseye was last seen after he had been badly hurt by Wilson Fisk in Daredevil season 3's finale. Poindexter was under surgery on his spine when the camera zoomed in on his right eye as the character woke up. A bullseye could be seen in Poindexter's eye, teasing the villain taking on his Marvel Comics mantle for season 4 of Netflix's Daredevil.
While that never came to be, Bethel's return as Bullseye in Daredevil: Born Again can finally see the actor fully embrace the comic book character. Marvel Studios is setting up D'Onofrio's Kingpin to be a major force on the MCU's street-level side. In Echo's post-credits scene, Fisk was teased to enter the race to become New York City's Mayor, and that could lead to Bullseye's role in Daredevil: Born Again.
Bullseye could be a violent, unpredictable element in Daredevil: Born Again. While the character first worked for Fisk against Matt Murdock in Daredevil season 3, Poindexter ended the season getting his back broken by Kingpin. Due to that, Bullseye could catch wind of Fisk's mayoral run, returning in full costume to foil Kingpin's plans and face off against Daredevil again, as their paths would meet due to Matt also looking to stop Fisk. With fans asking for more mature offerings from the MCU, adding Bullseye is a great way of cementing
Daredevil: Born Again as a gritty TV-MA series.
