A new Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 clip reveals the origins of Rocket Raccoon's name. About a week before it premieres, Marvel Studios is making a last marketing push for the James Gunn-directed trilogy capper. While the director and the main cast attend press tours, there has been a steady influx of promotional materials, including a couple of new scenes from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Exclusively released by Collider, a new Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 clip reveals how Rocket Raccoon got his name. Watch the footage below:
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3's new marketing video also offers the best look Rocket's childhood friends, Lylla the Otter (voiced by Linda Cardellini), Teefs the Walrus (Asim Chaudhry), and Floor the Rabbit (Mikaela Hoover). The short snippet offers an idea of how emotional the threequel will be.
Why Rocket Is Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’s True Protagonist Gunn will end his MCU stint with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which will also function as the original roster's swan song. Despite its significant delay, the movie's story has long been locked, with the filmmaker confirming that it will also reveal the tragic origins of Rocket. So, amid a string of other plotlines in the Marvel blockbuster, including the birth of Adam Warlock and the future of Star-Lord and Gamora's romance, the foul-mouthed character will be at the center of its narrative.
