Star Wars Theory Turns The Mandalorians Into The Next Galactic Power - Not The New Republic

Summary
  • The Mandalorians have proven themselves to be a formidable force and potential protectors of the galaxy, overshadowing the weak New Republic.
  • The New Republic's inability to defend vital parts of the galaxy, such as the Hydian Way, highlights their lack of strength and capability to handle galactic conflicts.
  • As the Mandalorians gain reputation and recognition for their strength, they become a greater threat to the Empire and a more trusted ally for those in need, positioning themselves as the galaxy's greatest power.
The weakness of the fledgling New Republic has been revealed in The Mandalorian, and this Star Wars theory suggests the Mandalorians will take the government's place as the next galactic power. The first live-action Star Wars TV show sets the expectations for the strength of the New Republic straightaway in The Mandalorian season 1, with Pedro Pascal's Din Djarin considering them "a joke." Lawlessness continues to persist in the Outer Rim of the Star Wars galaxy, and despite this, The Mandalorian has shown time and time again the New Republic is making no move to take control of it, instead focusing on worlds who both are closer to the Core and have sworn full allegiance to the galaxy's new government.
With Grand Admiral Thrawn having made his return to the galaxy in Ahsoka, another galactic conflict is imminent, and the New Republic has proven they lack the strength required to take care of it. Many of the leading figures in the New Republic's political body doubt the true existence and threat of Imperial Remnants as it is, and if this arrogance has dripped down to their military and defense forces, then even they would pose no true threat to the incoming danger. The New Republic has already failed to defend a vital part of the galaxy, and another group who's stepped up has proven they can take the government's place.
