Superman and Lois has recently begun one of the most famous DC Universe storylines in "The Death of Superman", although it appears the end of that tale is already in sight. Going into its final season, Superman and Lois has created some of the most successful iterations of its iconic titular characters. With the future of Superman set to be focused on the new DC Universe with the upcoming James Gunn film, an excellent sendoff to the Tyler Hoechlin character iteration has begun with season 4 of the popular CW series.
The opening of season 4 began with the death of Clark Kent at the hands of Doomsday. Subsequent episodes have focused on Lois Lane and their children reeling from this loss, as well as Jonathan"s turn as Superboy and a devastating new Lex Luthor. However, new set photos discovered by The Direct suggest Tyler Hoechlin"s return may be happening on the popular series soon.
Recent set photos were shared on Instagram by the user canadagraphs that saw a bloodied Superman in the Smallvile set for the series. The user described the photo as from "The season 4 finale, and series finale content I shot at their Smallville downtown location." Following the comic book story, Superman would inevitably return before the end of the final season, and these new photos suggest that this will happen in the series finale, if not sooner.

With excellent drama and action to end the show, the return of Clark Kent will hopefully be a satisfying way to end the series and also bring the Arrowverse to a close once and for all.

Close Like any viewer who has read "The Death of Superman" or has seen the story told in film, including in Zack Snyder"s DCEU films, I"ve known that Superman was always going to return to the series following his death. However, I can"t help but be a little worried that these set photos have come from the final episode and not sooner. With 10 episodes in season 4, the thought of moving forward without Tyler Hoechlin"s Clark Kent for the rest of this season is concerning. I can only hope that Superman"s return in Superman and Lois might happen much sooner.
