Marvel Spider-Man Characters Imagined In Disney"s 2D Animation Style Art Is Stunningly Perfect

Fan art depicting Spider-Man characters in a classic 2D animation art style proves just how perfectly some Marvel characters work with a classic Disney sheen. Disney acquired Marvel in 2009, meaning Marvel characters have been a part of Disney's repertoire since the earliest days of the MCU timeline. Nevertheless, Marvel's main output of movies has been mostly confined to live-action, while animated Marvel series like Avengers Assemble and What If...? are rendered in art styles distinct from that of Disney's most recognizable animated IPs.
While this will probably remain the case forever, that hasn't stopped @eroz.ai (via Instagram) from discovering through AI art generators what Spider-Man characters would look like if they starred in their own Disney animated movie. The results prove that Spider-Man's particularly colorful cast of characters and Disney's distinctive style are a perfect match, with Spider-Man's rogues' gallery in particular evoking the perfect Disney villain look. While Spider-Man boasts one of the most extensive lists of characters in Marvel Comics, this AI-made project begs elaboration.

MCU Avengers Imagined In Disney's Art Style Makes Me Want A 2D-Animated Spider-Man Movie Spider-Man Works Well With Animation Close Spider-Man isn't the only Marvel hero who recently received the Disney treatment. MCU fans have also been imagining what a Disney-animated Avengers might look like, to similarly compelling results. The multiverse provides a wealth of opportunities for Marvel to delve into weird and wonderful universes - something which Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' multiverse-hopping sequence demonstrated. This could facilitate a lighthearted jaunt into a Disney animated universe - but Spider-Man is particularly well suited to this.
For one thing, Spider-Man is one of Marvel's most youthful characters. While he is not the youngest, he is decidedly fresh-faced compared to the majority of the Avengers and fits well into a more family-friendly universe - something which the wealth of kid-friendly animated Spider-Man series attests to. Furthermore, Sony has proven with its acclaimed Spider-Verse franchise how well this Marvel character, in particular, works in an animated setting. Spider-Man is colorful and dynamic and boasts a litany of peripheral characters whose ostentatious designs perfectly complement animation.
Sony still owns movie distribution rights for Spider-Man, but animated series featuring the web-slinger and his rogues' gallery are under Marvel Studios' purview.
Still, an entirely 2D animated movie has yet to be explored by Marvel or Sony. Spider-Man: No Way Home is one of many movies that have proven a fervor for superhero nostalgia, and merging it with the nostalgia inherent in the classic Disney animation art style would be an interesting and even profitable route for Marvel to pursue. While this remains a distinctly unlikely project for now, however, Spider-Man fans can still make the case in the meantime with exhibitions like the post above.
Spider-Man Spider-Man is the name given to several individuals who have employed a spider-moniker throughout Marvel Comics. Typically gaining their powers through a bite from a radioactive spider, the different Spider-Man heroes employ super-strength, agility, and intellect while utilizing webbing to swing and tangle up their foes. The most notable of these Spider-Men is Peter Parker, who remains one of the most popular superheroes throughout the world.
