The story of Scarlet Witch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe seemed concluded for a while - however, the recent release of Agatha All Along has reignited conversations over her fate and potential return to the series. While Elizabeth Olsen is not a credited member of Agatha All Along"s cast, the series is full of Easter Eggs and references and there are hopes for an appearance by the actor at some point. Following WandaVision"s exciting, meaningful, and evolving plot, there have been many theories that the spinoff series will capitalize on its predecessor"s story by having Agatha and Wanda meet again.
Following Agatha All Along episode 1 and 2, the show seems to be heavily focused on Wanda and her legacy in the MCU. Scarlet Witch first appeared in the comics in 1964, and her story evolved over the years, including her role as the daughter of Magneto. While the MCU timeline changed many aspects of the character"s story, they kept Wanda"s immense level of power more or less the same, with this and other factors combining to make Scarlet Witch"s potential survival or revival much-discussed concepts.

Hints were dropped throughout the series premiere episodes about Wanda"s status, as her specter still hangs above Agatha. In a conversation with a neighbor, Agatha reveals doubt that the crushing weight of an enormous rock could kill Wanda. Following this, Agatha sees a body that is suspected to be Wanda"s in a morgue, where she looks at the identifying tag.
The tag on the body lists W. Maximoff - however, moments later, the tag also lists the name of A. Harkness. While this at first seemed to confirm Wanda"s death, the development in this scene actually instead reiterates the connection between Wanda and Agatha. Perhaps, like Agatha, Wanda has also simply been robbed of her powers. This could mean that she is still alive somewhere. However the show progresses, it is clear that Wanda"s state is important to Agatha"s development.
What Elizabeth Olsen Has Said About Scarlet Witch's Return Olsen Seems Open To An MCU Return Close Elizabeth Olsen has shared hopeful comments about returning to the MCU in a recent interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live! where she expressed interest. However, it also sounds important to Olsen that her character"s death not be undone. She noted on the show that "would like to figure out how to cleverly be un-dead." However, with the way death has been approached in the MCU, and with characters able to return from it, it is likely that the series is able to find a way.
It is notable that Olsen"s comments are quite open to returning to the universe. Following Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it seemed that her time in the role was done. With Robert Downey Jr."s return as Doctor Doom sparking new theories, however, it has become clear that any performer could theoretically return to the MCU. Following Olsen"s comments, it seems likely that the character may return in some capacity, whether in a lead role or in a supporting role.
Scarlet Witch Solo Movie Rumors Explained No Scarlet Witch Film Has Yet Been Confirmed Close The chance of a Scarlet Witch solo movie is not clear. However, talk has certainly been happening. Speaking with Variety, Agatha All Along showrunner Jac Schaeffer said "I am just here hoping for a Scarlet Witch movie! We all want Wanda, so fingers crossed that"s a thing that happens." While nothing appears to be in the works, a rumored film has been talked about for some time, especially following the character"s success in WandaVision. Marvel has been leaning on legacy significantly, and it would make sense for a Wanda movie to follow.
Where exactly this would fit in the Multiverse Saga is difficult to say, especially if the franchise is set to reboot after it ends, as some rumors have suggested. However, Wanda"s return in either Agatha All Along or the forthcoming Vision series feels likely in some capacity. Whether that would lead to a solo movie would be dependent on if the studio had the proper stories to tell. However, it is something that would certainly be a big deal for fans of the character.
