You Can"t Ignore The First DCU Release, Thanks To A New Superman Tease

Summary
  • DC Universe is to launch with the animated series Creature Commandos, featuring a unique team of military superhumans.
  • Frank Grillo will voice and play Rick Flag Sr. in both Creature Commandos and Superman, highlighting this interconnected universe.
  • DC Universe aims to create a united continuity across movies, TV shows, and video games, with crossovers ensuring equal importance for each project.
A new Superman tease is now making it impossible for the first release of the DC Universe to be ignored, and that’s a great thing for this franchise. The many highs and lows (though more of the latter) of the DC Extended Universe led Warner Bros to rethink its plan when it comes to its DC Comics properties, and it’s now preparing for the launch of the DC Universe. Led by James Gunn and Peter Safran, the DC Universe will keep some of the DCEU characters and actors while recasting many others and introducing new characters, as well.
The main purpose of the DC Universe is to create a united continuity across all live-action and animated movies, TV shows, and video games. The DC Universe, then, will kick off with the animated TV series Creature Commandos, based on the team of military superhumans of the same name. The Creature Commandos is unlike any other team seen before in the DCEU, as it’s formed by a human leader, a werewolf, a vampire, a gorgon, and a Frankenstein’s monster. Creature Commandos is scheduled for a December 2024 release, and thanks to a Superman tease, it will be a must-watch.
