The Crown's Emma Corrin plays Cassandra Nova in Deadpool & Wolverine. She is the main villain of the movie, with Cassandra being the twin sister of Charles Xavier, possessing similar powers to Professor X, which makes her a major threat to the movie's heroes. According to the Deadpool & Wolverine theory, Cassandra Nova will use Loki's TVA to help her lay waste to the multiverse. The major detail about the theory pertains to the portal scene in the movie's trailer. While Deadpool and Wolverine are jumping through the portal, Cassandra Nova can be seen smiling at the side.
The villain shows no sign of being mad at the characters running away. In fact, the scene makes it look like Cassandra Nova is watching as Deadpool and Wolverine do exactly what she wants. In the footage revealed at CinemaCon, the TVA's Mr. Paradox recruits Reynolds' Deadpool for a mission that could make him the savior of the Sacred Timeline, protecting it from the need to be "avenged." That relates to Disney+'s Loki, with the reveal having ramifications for the Multiverse Saga. Loki season 1's finale saw Sylvie kill He Who Remains and set the multiverse loose.
Deadpool & Wolverine would then have to take place during Loki season 2. The Loki series finale saw Tom Hilldeston's Loki become the protector of the multiverse, and instead of the Sacred Timeline, all different universes ran through Loki and the Yggdrasil tree. Based on Paradox's plan, Deadpool could be recruited by the TVA just before the multiverse breaks loose, with the movie then taking place during Loki season 2. The TVA would be more powerful, as Loki would not have become the keeper of the multiverse yet, so Cassandra Nova taking over the organization could lead to multiverse mayhem.
Paradox could also be part of a fringe group within the TVA that wants to keep the Sacred Timeline going and prevent Loki from creating the multiverse tree, thus making Deadpool & Wolverine take place alongside Loki season 2, before its finale.
How Cassandra Nova’s Marvel Comics History Could Spell Doom To The Multiverse Casandra Nova Is Not Afraid To Get Bloody Close Featuring a villain like Cassandra Nova in the MCU's first R-rated movie is exciting, as the character has no qualms about getting bloody in her quest for revenge. In the comics, Charles Xavier tried to murder Cassandra Nova still in the womb, as he sensed the utter evil inside her. That would lead the character down a violent path of revenge, and as Cassandra seemingly has one of Xavier's chairs in the MCU movie's trailers, that could also play a role in her film appearance.
Patrick Stewart has already appeared as a multiverse variant of Charles Xavier in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. That makes a role for him in Deadpool & Wolverine, especially since Jackman is in it, very likely.
