Ryan Reynolds Addresses Channing Tatum"s MCU Return Chances As Gambit: Marvel Is "Obsessed With Him In That Role"

While the Marvel Cinematic Universe may not have any concrete plans for Channing Tatum"s Gambit, the actor may not be fully done with the franchise.
During an appearance on Entertainment Weekly"s Awardist Podcast, Reynolds chatted briefly about Tatum as Gambit after he made his debut in Deadpool & Wolverine. While not revealing any specific plans for Gambit, Reynolds stressed that Marvel Studios is "obsessed" with Tatum as the beloved X-Men hero, sharing the following:

I honestly don"t know what goes on behind closed doors in the bookkeeping sessions at Marvel, but I do know that they"re obsessed with him in that role. It"s kind of like the same situation I went through. Once you show that it works well, that"s really what they need. Sometimes they just need to see it in action.
