Marvel"s Young Avengers Project Addressed By Agatha All Along Showrunner After Billy Maximoff"s MCU Debut

The Agatha All Along showrunner chimes in on the potential of the Young Avengers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe following Billy Maximoff"s massive 2024 introduction. Since the beginning of The Multiverse Saga, one of Marvel"s most beloved teams has slowly started getting set up with a hypothetical Young Avengers movie in the MCU. While Marvel Studios has yet to announce Young Avengers as an actual project, the signs are pointing towards the superhero team getting its due in the MCU sooner or later.
In a recent interview with Screen Rant, Jac Schaeffer, who is the Agatha All Along showrunner, was asked if the introduction of Wiccan in the MCU has her interested in perhaps pursuing the Young Avengers team in any capacity ahead of the two-part finale of the Agatha Harkness-led spinoff. As someone who has spent a lot of time with the MCU since WandaVision, while there is no idea in her mind how she would approach Young Avengers, Schaeffer stressed that it"s a group of players that she is a huge fan of, as she stated the following:

Jac Schaeffer: I don"t have anything for that, but I love those characters, and really, I love the actors. I just think if Young Avengers were to happen like, man, that is a murderer"s row. It would be great.

What Jac Schaeffer's Young Avengers Comments Mean Close While Schaeffer may not have a pitch for Young Avengers at this moment, that doesn"t mean that she couldn"t have a concept down the line. Based on her comments, Schaeffer would likely not decline the offer to explore the Young Avengers characters if she is given the opportunity. It"s also crucial to remember that Marvel Studios is always developing new movies and TV shows, with many of them sometimes not getting announced for quite a while, which could be the case for Young Avengers, too.
Since Billy"s debut in Agatha All Along has also gained a lot of positive reception, it"s only a matter of time until the MCU introduces its main version of Tommy Maximoff after WandaVision. Whoever is given the chance to bring all of these young heroes together for a Young Avengers series or film; they will get to explore some of the most fun characters in the Marvel lore. That"s why it is hard to imagine that Marvel Studios isn"t, in one way or another, at least trying to see where they can fit the Young Avengers into the franchise.

Given that Schaeffer has had a successful run throughout her time in the MCU, it wouldn"t be shocking if Marvel Studios were to have the WandaVision and Agatha All Along boss perhaps get involved with a Young Avengers project, whether it is a TV show or film. Whether Young Avengers" time in the MCU timeline ends up being during or after The Multiverse Saga is the bigger mystery. Nevertheless, given all the characters that they have introduced, the Young Avengers will hopefully get their due in the near future.
