All Deadpool movies have done well at the box office, but the MCU"s first entry in the franchise, Deadpool & Wolverine, broke several records, becoming the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time with over $1.3 billion. Based on the film"s success, all eyes turned to when a Deadpool & Wolverine sequel could go into production. However, Reynolds seems to have something else in mind for Deadpool"s MCU future.

Ryan Reynolds addressed whether Deadpool could show up as a supporting character in future MCU movies.
The actor was asked about how Marvel recently confirmed the appearance of Fox"s X-Men in at least Avengers: Doomsday and whether Deadpool could show up in one of the MCU movies that will feature the mutants — Marvel Studios also has an X-Men reboot movie in the works. According to the actor, Deadpool is likely to show up as a supporting character soon, saying, "I do think so."
Reynolds also believes Deadpool can never join the Avengers or the X-Men, as it would fulfill his dreams. The MCU star wants Deadpool to play a supporting role moving forward.
