Where You Know Adam In Daredevil: Born Again From
Warning! This article contains spoilers for Daredevil: Born Again episode 4.
A central figure in
Daredevil: Born Again"s fractured Fisk marriage is the mysterious Adam, who debuted in episode 4 with a familiar actor in the role. The return of Daredevil: Born Again"s cast to the MCU for the first time since 2018 saw many storylines be fabricated to fit their time away from the spotlight. Where Wilson and Vanessa Fisk are concerned, their marriage suffered some setbacks during the seven-year gap between Netflix"s Daredevil and the MCU timeline of Daredevil: Born Again.
Since the ending of Daredevil: Born Again episodes 1 and 2, it has been made clear that Wilson and Vanessa have not seen eye-to-eye over the years. Wilson Fisk"s stint in two other Marvel Disney+ TV shows, Hawkeye and Echo, saw him take time away from New York to heal from several injuries which caused Vanessa to feel betrayed by his absence. At the center of this storyline was someone named Adam, who had only been mentioned in Daredevil: Born Again"s first three episodes. However, in Daredevil: Born Again episode 4, Adam finally appeared.
Who Plays Adam In Daredevil: Born Again? Adam Is Played By A Recognizable Character Actor Close In Daredevil: Born Again episode 4"s final scene, Adam is shown for the first time. Putting aside his dire situation and the dark hints it has for his character"s future, Adam will undoubtedly look familiar to many people.
Adam is played by Lou Taylor Pucci in Daredevil: Born Again, an actor known for several roles over the years.
Pucci"s best-known roles are perhaps Thumbsucker and The Life of Luke, both of which earned the actor critical acclaim at several festivals for his performances. Beyond that, Pucci had a recurring role in the first season of Netflix"s YOU, as well as a recurring role in American Horror Story: 1984. He then went on to have a main cast role in Apple TV+"s comedy-drama Physical, before appearing in Daredevil: Born Again as Adam.

Concerning who exactly Adam is in Daredevil: Born Again, his role is an important one in many ways. Adam was revealed as the man whom Vanessa had an affair with, though she does not see it as such given that Wilson abandoned her and gave no inclination that he would ever return. After Wilson came back, Adam proved one of the few things he found difficult to overlook, as evident by Adam"s status in the final scene of Daredevil: Born Again episode 4 as Wilson"s prisoner.
Is Adam Based On A Marvel Comics Character? Firstly, a common question will be whether Adam appears in Marvel Comics. While some Fisk storylines depict Wilson and Vanessa splitting up in the comics, rarely is it mentioned that she moved on with someone else. If she ever did,
Adam was not mentioned in the source material and seems to be a construction for Daredevil: Born Again.
Why Kingpin Has Kept Adam Prisoner Despite telling his couples counselor Heather that he did not know where Adam was after warning him away from Vanessa, it is revealed that the former Kingpin keeps him as a prisoner in Daredevil: Born Again episode 4"s ending. Concerning why Fisk kept Adam prisoner, it was likely to satiate his violent nature. Fisk was seen with bloodied knuckles in previous episodes of the show, with the reveal that Adam is kept in a cage indicating he is an outlet for the rage Wilson often feels, especially relating to his relationship with Vanessa.
Adam Reveals Kingpin's Return Is Inevitable Another important facet of Adam"s role in Daredevil: Born Again is how it reflects on Fisk"s current mental state. Throughout Daredevil: Born Again"s four episodes thus far, Wilson Fisk has tried to prove that he is beyond his old life. The ways of a criminal mastermind are now seemingly behind him as he takes a more legal route to improve the city of New York.

Related Why Wilson Fisk Isn't Kingpin In Daredevil: Born Again (& What's His Real Plan?) Daredevil: Born Again brought Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk into the MCU, but both men appear different from their previous appearances as rivals.
Posts 1 However, Adam is a living reminder that the Kingpin was never truly gone. Adam"s capture, as well as elements like Fisk"s blackmail of the police commissioner, prove that Fisk"s "for-the-people" act as a benevolent mayor is exactly that: an act. The brutality of keeping Adam as a prisoner proves that the Kingpin is still there, struggling to be contained and that he will revert to his old ways eventually.
What Kingpin's Plan For Adam Is Finally, the last major question is what Kingpin has planned for Adam. At this stage, it is hard to tell, but it is likely just to torture, abuse, and traumatize Adam for being with Vanessa. Fisk is not one to show much restraint, logical thinking, or empathy to his enemies, especially those linked to Vanessa. As such, Fisk"s plan for Adam in
Daredevil: Born Again is likely to force him to watch Vanessa move on with Wilson once more, before killing him in cold blood as a truly evil Kingpin would.
