Daredevil: Born Again star Vincent D"Onofrio recently opened up about the series" massive creative overhaul. The series planned to bring back D"Onofrio and his costar from Netlfix"s Daredevil, Charlie Cox, from the beginning, but the original vision was scrapped by Marvel, with the studio firing the writing and directing teams. At New York City Comic Con, D"Onofrio said this of the change:

When we finally figured out how to do this show, it was so exciting, and to really play it the way that Charlie and I always wanted to continue. A lot of us involved in the first iteration were really yearning for a better way, and it worked out.
