Wes Anderson"s Star Wars Imagined In Amazing Fan-Made Trailer

A new fan-made trailer imagines what a Star Wars reboot look like if famed director Wes Anderson was at the helm. Following his 1996 acclaimed debut feature film Bottle Rocket, the unique director cultivated a prestigious career as an auteur filmmaker with an instantly recognizable distinctive style. With a filmography including Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, Moonrise Kingdom, The Grand Budapest Hotel, and The French Dispatch, Anderson established himself as a standout among his peers in Hollywood.
Using artificial intelligence image tools, Curious Refuge recently shared their fan-made Galactic Menagerie Star Wars trailer inspired by the works of Wes Anderson. Check out the fan-made trailer below:
Bathed in pastel hues, Star Wars characters are positioned in symmetrical arrangements framed in a flat visual style popularized by Anderson. AI-generated images of famous actors Scarlett Johansson, Timothée Chalamet, Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Jeff Goldblum, Willem Dafoe, Adrien Brody, and Owen Wilson populate the trailer as Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Emperor Palpatine, Grand Moff Tarkin, Chewbacca, and Darth Vader, respectively.
Wes Anderson's Star Wars Would Be A Delight To Watch Since the original Star Wars film in 1977, the long-running science-fiction franchise is known for its bombastic action, relatable characters, and epic storytelling. Each installment brought an extraordinary journey to alien worlds at the far reaches of the universe in a way that was easily palatable. Although Anderson's carefully curated style does not necessarily mesh with Star Wars' established tone, a feature film led by the visionary director would be a sight to see the series in a different landscape.
Anderson has written and directed all his films, telling comedic character-driven dramas within unique environments. If given a chance to expand the Star Wars universe, the director would create a tale unlike the franchise has ever seen. Whereas many of the film series' entries focus on the plot, Anderson tailors on a smaller adventure set within a single location and features wacky characters in dysfunctional relationships. Although Anderson is capable of telling far-reaching epic journeys, as seen in his stop-motion adventure Isle of Dogs, his flat space visual aesthetic and stilted dialogue delivery will keep the tale his own.
