Marvel"s Kang Dynasty & Secret Wars Promise Breaks The Oldest Avengers Villain Trend

Kang the Conqueror will likely break a long-standing MCU villain tradition in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars. The Avengers have already faced various legendary Marvel villains in the MCU, including Loki, Ultron, Thanos, and Baron Zemo. In the Multiverse Saga, Earth's Mightiest Heroes are on track to fight their greatest enemy yet, Kang the Conqueror, who seems to be less powerful than previous villains as an individual, but much more dangerous when partnered with his other variants.
After Ant-Man and his family defeated Kang the Conqueror, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania's post-credits scene teased the arrival of the MCU's Council of Kangs. Although the Council of Kangs considered the main Kang variant their biggest threat, the Avengers can easily take his place as the Council's primary target. Hence, the Council of Kangs may assemble every existing Kang variant in order to destroy the Avengers in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars.
The Council Of Kangs Means The Avengers Fighting Multiple Major Villains At Once A conflict between the Avengers and the Council of Kangs in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars would mark the first time a true supervillain team served as the central antagonists. In previous MCU movies, the main villains employed armies and henchmen such as the Chitauri and the Black Order, but they never fought side by side with other characters as powerful as themselves. Only Spider-Man has fought a villain team in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and outside the MCU, the only full-fledged Marvel villain team to ever form on the big screen was Magneto's Brotherhood of Evil Mutants in Fox's X-Men movies.
The Council of Kangs offers an exciting dynamic that will likely shake up the Multiverse Saga's only two Avengers movies, as not only will a new team of Avengers take shape, but a group of supervillains will also come together and design a strategy to fight multiple opponents simultaneously. Kang variants such as Immortus, Rama-Tut, and the Scarlet Centurion can either join forces to fight the most powerful Avengers or lead their own teams of Kang variants. The climactic battle between the Avengers and the Council of Kangs might also look drastically different from previous final battles, with each Avenger going toe-to-toe with their own unique Kang variant.
