National American Indian and Alaska Native Heritage Month is celebrated everyNovember in the United States to recognize the intertribal cultures and toeducate the public about the heritage, history, art, and traditions of theAmerican Indian and Alaska Native people. This commemorative month aims toprovide a platform for Native people in the United States to share theirculture, traditions, music, crafts, dance, and ways and concepts of life.

To honor their legacy and continued contributions to America and the world, theShanghai American Center is hosting a film series celebrating Native Americanheritage, giving you aninsight into NativeAmerican history and culture. Before each movie, an American diplomat will talkabout an aspect of Native American heritage and lead a discussion of the film.其中，美國公共電視台(PBS)五集紀錄片《我族長存》記錄下了美國原住民英勇反抗驅逐、試圖保護自己民族文化的鬥爭史。
「We Shall Remain」 is a five-part PBS series that shows how Native peoplesvaliantly resisted expulsion from their lands and fought the extinction oftheir culture.
